Following a family tradition of four generations of coffee farming, Oscar and Ana Cristina Schaps started their own farm, Finca Los Caballitos, in 2006. Since then, they have improved the quality of their coffee to produce only specialty grade lots and have expanded their operations to include 4 farms across Guatemala and El Salvador.
Oscar and Ana first purchased Finca Santa Paula in Guatemala before expanding to El Salvador when they acquired Oscar's great grandmother's farm in El Salvador, Finca Patagonia and later the neighbouring Finca Los Naranjitos.
Oscar also works closely with his neighbours to assist them with access to international markets and consolidating shipments for export.
